(VEN) - Consumption of cement products in the first eight months of 2018 reached about 63.85 million tonnes, up nearly 30 percent compared to the same period last year and completing nearly 76 percent of the set plan for the whole year. In particular, cement exports have exceeded the annual target.

(VEN) - Japanese fresh and processed seafood, fruits, baby food, supplementary products, fruits and vegetables are increasingly popular in Vietnam.

(VEN) - Following decreases in volume and value in January, fertilizer exports have resumed their growth. In the first seven months, exports to markets that saw increases in volume accounted for 66.6 percent of the total, while exports to markets that saw decreases accounted for 33.3 percent.

A delegation of the US National Pork Board (NPB) has visited Vietnam recently to seek ways to increase pork export to Vietnam, a large market which consumed around 1.8 million tonnes of pork in 2017, or 57 percent of the total meat market.

The Mekong Delta province of An Giang’s export revenue in the first nine months of 2018 topped US$600 million, up 3.29 percent year on year, helping the locality fulfill 71.4 percent of its yearly target.

With good export growth in the early months of 2018, the total export volume of Vietnamese rice reached its highest level in three years. However, it is forecast that rice exports will likely face difficulties in the remaining months of the year.

(VEN) - The export value of domestic companies continued growing, creating bright points in the foreign trade picture of the first eight months of 2018.

Vietnam’s export value to the US reached US$4.89 billion in August, the highest level since January this year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The Middle East and Africa are promising markets for Vietnamese exports, heard at a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on September 27.
