Trong 4 tháng đầu năm 2018, ngành nhựa Việt Nam đã có sự tăng trưởng cao và việc xuất khẩu đi các thị trường Mỹ, Nhật Bản cũng gia tăng mạnh mẽ. Theo dự báo, trong năm 2018, ngành nhựa sẽ tiếp tục tăng trưởng khoảng 12-15%.

Belgium’s Flanders Agricultural Marketing Board held a press conference in Hanoi on May 14 to announce a plan to develop the Belgian potato market share in Vietnam. 

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnamese rice export prices are increasing rapidly. The 5-% broken rice is now selling at from US$455 to US$460 per tonne, the highest price since August, 2014. In the first three months of 2018, the average price of Vietnamese rice reached US$ 501 per tonne, an annual increase of 15 percent.

(VEN) - Preliminary data from the Ministry of Construction’s Building Materials Department show that cement and clinker exports soared in the first quarter of 2018.

The European agriculture producers are expecting the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to take effect soon as it will pave the way for their agricultural products, including fruits, meat and dairy, to enter the Southeast Asian market with a population of 93 million.

At a recent conference jointly held in Hanoi by Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) and IEC Group-Australia that sought ways to boost exports of Vietnamese apparels to Australia, an official from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam has said that Australia is a potential market for Vietnamese textiles with the introduction of CPTPP.

(VEN) - The export value reached US$54.3 billion in the first quarter of 2018, up 22 percent compared with the same period last year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) forecasts exports will reach US$235.5 billion by the year’s end, a 10 percent increase over 2017. 

The first direct shipment of US corn to Vietnam has arrived in the country with the assistance of the Quang Ninh Port Joint Stock Company in the Port of Cai Lan, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the United States Grains Council representatives.

(VEN) - The province of Dien Bien plans to open eight new points of sale in eight districts and towns this year to make sure that every locality in the province has a Vietnamese Goods Sales Point. Preferential funds will be provided for those points in remote areas and those with sales potential.

Vietnam earned US$1.1 billion from exporting 2.16 million tonnes of rice in the first four months of 2018, up 35.7 percent in value and 21.7 percent in volume.

(VEN) - The ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) took effect on January 1, 2018, reducing taxes on automobile imports between member countries to zero percent. Vietnam is concerned this could result in a higher deficit in its trade with the nine other ASEAN member economies and is gearing up to confront this challenge.
