(VEN) - Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said Vietnam and the EU had completed the legal review process of their trade agreement (EVFTA). “If things go smoothly, the agreement will be signed later this year and submitted to the European Parliament and the Vietnamese National Assembly for ratification in early 2019,” he said.

(VEN) - Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc concluded his trip to Thailand to attend the eighth Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit (ACMECS 8) and the ninth Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam Summit (CLMV 9). At the two summits, the leaders affirmed their determination to strengthen cooperation in order to promote the economic potential of member countries, contribute to the development of the ASEAN Community, and ensure sustainable and inclusive development in the Mekong region.

The request came after the U.S. accused Pyongyang of violating sanctions with illegal imports of fuel, according to documents seen by AFP.
